Gulf Oil Spill 5 years Post KatrinaThere is more federally assisted housing in New Orleans five years after Hurricane Katrina struck than before the storm, yet population of the Greater New Orleans has been cut in half, according to a new report. Some 38K households still have no place to call home. The New Orleans metropolitan area lost 75K homes as result of the storm. Only 10K has been rebuilt. Read more..
